SOURCE = Symposium on University Research and
Creative Expression
Participate in the Fourth Annual SOURCE on April 24, 2012
Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to submit their research/creative expression/poster to this year's event. All abstracts and submission forms (click here for Proposal Form in Microsoft Word format) are due March 27th, 2012 -- this is a FIRM DEADLINE!
Submission Timeline:
- March 27 - Submission Deadline
- April 10 - Notification of Acceptance
- April 24 - SOURCE Presentation
Guidelines for writing abstracts (for papers or posters):
- Your hypothesis or argument should be clearly expressed in a research question, goal, or thesis statement.
- Your abstract should briefly, but clearly, summarize or introduce your research project. It should be clear what your original contribution is (as opposed to summarizing others' research).
Please note: The LRU Institutional Review Board is responsible for ensuring that human subjects in research conducted by faculty, staff, and students are protected from harm and treated ethically. Individuals seeking to conduct research involving human subjects may not solicit subject participation or begin data collection until research proposals have been approved by the IRB. Feb. 16th is the deadline for the March 9th review meeting. For more information, visit the IRB website: http://ir.lr.edu/IRB/home
